Let's Go Shopping in Charlotte NC!
Here's a list for you--From A to Z and Nordstroms in between, there is something for everyone! Men will love the sporting goods stores at Northlake Mall and women will love the clothiers at SouthPark. Children will love the Jillian's at Concord Mills and of course, women will love the men to love the jewelery stores in ALL of the malls!
I'm not sure what it is about us Charlotteans but, we adore shopping! Finding a home in a great shopping area is of primo consideration to many in our area, despite the fact that many Americans are seemingly addicted to Amazon!
If you're looking for a home on the north side, you'll want to be near Northlake Mall, Birkdale Village, Northcross Shopping Center, the Shoppes at University Place or Concord Mills. On the east side, Eastland Mall is the shopping spot. Monroe Mall is the host for the southeastern shopping in the metro area. On the southwestern side, Carolina Place Mall or Outlet Marketplace in Fort Mill, SC. On the western side of the metropolitan area are the Prime Outlets in Gaffney, SC. And, in the center city (Uptown) or mid-south area, there is SouthPark Mall, Founders Hall and Phillips Place. Southend is host to Atherton Mill, just outside of Third Ward in Uptown Charlotte NC.
You see, Southern girls love to shop and Charlotte has made certain that there are plenty of shops to go around! Come visit Charlotte and tour some of our major shopping areas--we're sure you'll find a little something to remember us by when you return home!

Great links to the shopping centers and malls!
Nice post Debe, I remember most of those places. Does Eastland Mall still have the ice skating rink?
Hi Sally! Thanks! Charlotte is a 'shopping city' and there is something for everyone here!
Hi Larry! You know, I used to love to go over to there--wasn't it called the 'Ice House' skating rink? They closed a good number of the stores and the rink as well. The city has taken it over and they're working on updating or making it into condos! Should be interesting.
Debe, yet another good post from the Queen of Blogs..;-) Not only does your post look pretty - it makes me want to shop at Nordstroms. ;-)
Debe, I'm honestly not one for shopping--until I go to an outlet! I love outlets and will be planning a drive soon. You've got an amazing amount of Malls in Charlottle!
Please don't take this the wrong way ... but you are one evil woman! LOL I need to sell one of my houses before I come down there. Otherwise I won't have enough spending money to make a dent in the retail inventory of Charlotte! :) God bless you!
great info as always - I am sure many stores will be happy to see their names getting some free press
Great information for people moving to your area and visitors too! Have a great Friday Debe. Are there any good sales this weekend???
Are you trying to keep husband and wife seperated? Sporting goods in Northlake and clothiers in Southpark? HMMMMMMMMMM
Nice information and links about your area...
I'm ready to go shopping there!
Have a great weekend...
Hi Debe! Shop 'til you drop!! Looks like there are plenty of great places to do that in Charlotte!
Hey Debe, I must bookmark this for when I come down to Charlotte!!
Debe-Oh that is just NOT fair. We have 3 malls in Huntsville. That's IT. Pitiful, isn't it? I'm home sick today, but will call you back when I'm up. Blech. Yuck. Hated to have missed you last night! :)
Hmmmm. Nordstroms. If only we had one too. :) I have to go to Chicago to shop. I'm hoping for a little shopping in Atlanta when I go to the RETech conference later this month! I love your post!
Some how I'm not convinced it's only you Southern girls who love to shop. We have a fair number of stores and malls around the OC.
Debe - you write the most thorough posts - it is always a pleasure to read your posts. You always have something for everybody. Excellent post, and I am a fan of Nordstrom for sure!
