Global Warming...Climate Change...Urbanization...Fran's Friday Forum...!!!

Do you believe in the theory of EVOLUTION...???

In addition to Darwin’s THEORY OF EVOLUTION there are some other theories that have been adopted by PROGRESSIVES to ‘persuade’ (read bamboozle) the gullible to see things their way: Darwin’s theory of ‘NATURAL SELECTION’...

The dictionary definition of ‘NATURAL SELECTION’ reads: ...the process by which those individuals with characteristics that help them become adapted to their environment tend to survive and transmit their characteristics.

AND SO...our leftist, progressive, conspiracy theory friends, in an effort to gain acceptance and additional herd members have changed that idea of theirs originally known as GLOBAL WARMING to CLIMATE CHANGE and more recently are using URBANIZATION as their latest ‘code word’ to push their agenda ahead...

If you don’t believe me, check your kids homework, and you’ll verify what I just said...Our teachers are the biggest culprits trying to brainwash our children into accepting their liberal, secular, and misinformed agendas...

You see, we keep catching on to their deceptions, while they keep refusing to acknowledge the scientific opposition to their propositions...!!! In an almost childish manner...they keep wanting to ‘GET THEIR WAY’...NO MATTER WHAT...!!!

Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t indict all teachers...only those who fall for this line of deceptions...Certainly, there are still plenty of God Fearing, seriously concerned, professional mentors who see through these ‘smoke and mirror’ tactics and do their own ‘homework’ to circumvent these educational mine fields so as to protect our children and guide them to safe harbors...!!!

Personally, I like to use the age old remedy to education: The parents are the primary educators of their children, and by discussion, example, and discipline each child will be exposed to THE TRUTH...FIRST BY PARENTS, then, hopefully, by a responsible education system...

As for me and my house...WE WILL SERVE THE LORD...Joshua 24:15, and since THE LORD is THE is HE who will set us free...!!!

I’m still a firm believer that kids CRAVE DISCIPLINE...and true discipline requires sincere disciples that preach and teach TRUTH...!!!

LORD, help me to evolve from a sinner to a saint...and my household as well...!!!

Have a great weekend...!!!

Fran, we homeschool one daughter and the other goes to a private christian school. I don't want the government brainwashing my kids.

Bravo...I can't help but thinking how the demise of Catholic School attendance, the elimination of 'God' and prayer from our public schools, and the legalization of abortion all seem to be contemporaneous with the problems of today's society...!!!

Thanks,   Fran

Fran - I've attended both public and private Christian schools. I believe history should include both theories of origin and sociology should include how our actions might affect each other.

To look at this logically, it is wrong to denounce climate change while supporting religion, especially since religion requires blind faith where data exists (on both sides of the argument and whether humans contribute to it) for climate change.

Science is simply the discovery of how God works. It is always amazing to find out how He does things. I DO believe in evolution, I believe we evolve from glory to glory. As far as goo to you thinking... I believe the unbelievers will throw any mud on the wall and see it as completed picture, any reason to think there is no God. I believe God gets a good laugh out of everyone looking to explain things without Him in the equation.

I'm not so sure it's our teachers as much as the textbook publishers who are doing their best to push the envelope. I wouldn't be surprised at what they print in them now. A voucher system is long overdue.

Karl: There is good science and bad science...actually religion and science are very close to agreeing on many important issues...!!!

I am intrigued by theories, but they must be proven to become fact...That's the scientific method ...!!! Remember...???

Satar: Faith in God does not come from blind belief...reason can be instrumental in finding faith...Read Thomas Aquinas and G. K. Chesterton...!!! Faith comes in many ways...!!! Trust me...!!! Read Bob & Bonnie's comment below yours...!!!

Bob & Bonnie: Right on...Awesome...!!!

No, in scientific terms, a theory implies that something has been proven and is generally accepted as being true based on known facts.

I believe you're referring to a "hypothesis." (This is an educated guess based upon observation. It is a rational explanation of a single event or phenomenon based upon what is observed, but which has not been proved. Most hypotheses can be supported or refuted by experimentation or continued observation.)

A theory is developed only through the scientific method, meaning it is the final result of a series of rigorous processes.

IMHO * Global Warming is a HYPOTHESIS then and not a THEORY

Karl: I believe in has evolved from believing the world to be flat to theorizing it is not...also, from believing the Earth to be the center of our solar system to believing that the sun is...!!!

Science, which, BTW supports religion, can only explain things back to the 'big bang'...religion goes beyond the 'big bang'...!!!

In a few short years the science books I used when in school are outdated and in some cases their contents are laughable...!!!

Good science searches for TRUTH...religion begins with THE TRUTH...!!!

Wallace: I believe in global warming, global cooling, and that cow farts produce more CO2 than humans...!!! LOL

Funny that you bring up earth as the center of the solar system because it was the theologians of the time that resisted the theory put forth by Copernicus, Kepler, etc.

As for the big bang...Before the Big Bang.

BTW, anthropogenic climate change is inclusive of the food we eat, i.e. beef.

At one time the accepted thought was that the earth was flat.  He who controls the power controls the purse which supports that promote the accepted thought.

When the hypothesis of global warming is proven by acceptable scientific work, not short term research in a world billions of years old, maybe more will support the thought.  But most people are concerned with tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, Tsunamis, etc.  things that can be easily be seen as destructive.  And those that have promoted the "science" have clearly profited from it the most.

If people like Gore are that concerned, why haven't we heard about efforts to move those people off islands that are most likely to be flooded when the waters rise.  Where is the concern for the people that will clearly die if the "science" is correct?  Guess he doesn't care that much or maybe it was a sham.

I have one question for those who put scientific evidence above God's Word... What has science done to benefit us? For every advance it has done to improve our world, I'll show you something it's done to ruin this world. IE: Cancers cured or at least beat back, but much cancer is most likely caused by genetically modified foods. I stick to the statement that science is merely discovering how God does things. If it weren't for the stigma that liberal universities placed on it, many scientists would be looking at their work from a Biblical mindset. Many scientists will tell you that we couldn't possibly have evolved if they weren't concerned with tenure and being taken seriously. We need to start understanding it's ok to not know everything. It's also ok to not accept everything that science states as truth. The mere theory that everything changes once it's observed, as proved by the old double slit experiment, changes every single outcome of data interpretation does it not? Science is simply a philosophy that is determined by data interpretation. Some things are black and white and yet many others are not. It's not trustworthy like my Father always is.  Many of you state it yourselves... once science told us the world was flat, etc. When I try to think of the expanse of the universe, I'm humbled and so overwhelmed. The majesty of it all is breathtaking. The more we learn the more we discover we don't know. I wish everyone would see this short video.

Science is not stagnant, which is it's strength (new observations = new data = new theories and any thoery must be "proven" using The Scientific Method ). But what is it with you guys and referring to ancient beliefs that have nothing to do with science?  BTW, just because YOU (and anti-science American right-wingers) don't think anthropogenic climate change is an acceptable theory doesn't mean that the vast majority of the industrialized (and scientific) world thnks the same. As a matter of fact the vast majority of world actually accepts the theory (why are Americans so ego-centric?).

As far as your criticism of Gore is concerned; it has nothing to do with the science and everything to do with the politics of climate change, which 'conservatives' can't ever seem to discern between the two.

On the biblical stories: it has nothing to do with science so why would scientists use a "biblical mindset?"

Posted by Karl Hess, on The Jersey Shore (Keller Williams Shore Properties) over 7 years ago

Karl, ancient beliefs label aside, truth is truth no matter how old it is. It it was true 6,000 years ago, it's true today or it's not truth. Name a truth that the Bible makes claims to that is not true today. Every Proverb is deep truth and holds up very well today. This however doesn't make me anti science. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread is not just a good saying it holds water. Science has rushed us into many unwise decisions that come with undesirable results and usually motivated by greed. This doesn't mean we hate science. Everything gets politicized today. Why? Because of the love of money. The one scientific truth I like to keep in mind is the Newton's laws of motion principles of equal and opposite reaction. It also applies to other things. Many times decisions are made without thinking of the opposite reaction and it's effects. That is why we laughingly have over 300 million Americans with only 545 people making all the decisions that affect us and usually negatively for the majority, and then running for election with promises of fixing what they've already caused. Cause and effect Karl... science has only proven what you call ancient beliefs as far as I've learned. And if it matters I was one on your side of the fence until just 6 years ago. Change IS the only constant.

For what it's worth, Our world has been going through changes since it was formed and yes, we most likely have something to do with it's speedier downfall now. Certainly we have become a blight on this planet. Now with that said, the only real solution is for us to return to a very inconvenient way of life. Science has given us new ways of farming that are killing the soil, our environment and us. All under the guise of feeding more people and more effeciently. All the while forming bigger and bigger food giants who don't care one iota about feeding the world, but making more profits. Localized small farming will come back and I pray it will be sooner than later so there is still a human race. Walking, bicycling, growing our own foods, tearing down cities and dispersing large populated areas... sounds like something only a Jeremiah Johnson could love. As my dad like to say, it's near impossible to put the peas back in the can once they're spilled. He also said for as long as I knew him was that the only difference between Republicans and Democrats was the speed in which they were willing to adopt socialism. I used to think he was cracked... now I see his wisdom.

Karl, if you watched the video I linked to, you would have heard of a microbiologist who looks and learns all things from a "biblical mindset". The best way to describe it is Hebrew vs. Greek way of thinking. Hebrew mindset exalts God which exalts what man does on His behalf. The greek mindset and one that was pervasive even in Jesus' day (Helenistic Jews) is to exalt man and all he can do without any help from a deity. That of course is an over simplification. We have all been raised in that Greek mindset here in America and it's most liberating when you understand that and see and learn based on the Hebrew mindset instead. Public schools all are based on the Greek mindset. Christian schools for the most part teach the Hebrew mindset. Things get done that help man prosper and grow instead of helping man be enslaved. Science that is approached from a Godly view will always be helpful to us.

I was raised with a family doctor named Dr. Maxwell Elias Solomon and he was the wisest, kindest man I have ever known and the first Jew I ever knew. I remember having a problem once and I thought maybe surgery could correct it. He told me that science is very quick to jump to such remedies but he preferred to think of surgery as the last resort period. I healed without surgery and very well with time and other avenues. As of today, I believe he is still alive and would put his age at around 104. He only retired close to 90 when his eyesight diminished.

I have one other question for you, who said "A house divided against itself will not stand." I'd like to hear your answer without googling it.

Karl, Dale, Bob & Bonnie,

I'm glad you chose my blog to fight nice...Pheeeew...!!!

I've been at a 6th grade girls basketball tournament all day, and I am enjoying winding down and reading your comments...They leave me with these observations.......

***God must have a sense of humor...

***God must be very patient, tolerant, and long suffering...

***God never changes, yet is always dynamic, never static...

***All of us are fulfilling God's admonition in Genesis to 'be fertile and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it'...

***Karl, conservatives are not anti-science...

***Proverbs 3:5-7...Trust in the Lord with all your heart, on your own intelligence rely not; In all your ways be mindful of him, and He will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and turn away from evil...

***I'm still waiting for science to explain the Trinity to me...

***Many, if not most scientists have a deep faith in God...

***What good would it do for man to gain the whole world, but lose his soul in the process...

***The Creator of all matter, who created from nothing, is not very far from any one of us...!!!

***Science can explain many things but it is still far from explaining the four last things.......Death, Judgement, Heaven and Hell...!!!

Keep fighting nice...!!!

Thanks,   Fran

Thanks for the grace Fran. I was just reading about when they started teaching Darwinism in public schools. It was the 1960's. Being that his theory was out there for well over hundred years at that point... what took so long to teach it? Could have been the sexual revolution and people looking for a good reason to chase immorality... you know since we are really just smarter apes now? I wonder.

I just wanted to add also that for anyone who has ever experienced a true miracle or an event that has no current scientific explanation, Darwinism is just a laugh, nice idea but not plausible. It also begs to ask why I should take much of anything science claims as truth at face value. We've seen quite a few ourselves.

Hope your team won the tourney.

Posted by Bob & Bonnie Horning over 7 years ago

Bob & Bonnie,

We lost the tourney...!!!

Science is enabled by religion, not the other way around...God existed had a beginning...!!!

Where science and faith disagree is usually 'bad' science...WHY...??? God is ABSOLUTE, science evolves...!!! I don't see religion and science as mutually exclusive...Good science and religion are complementary...!!!

Thanks,   Fran
