Last night’s Republican debate hosted by FOX NEWS was an eye opening and interesting exchange of important ideas...IF YOU WANT TO FIX OUR COUNTRY...!!!
I’ll give my liberal friends an opportunity to bow out gracefully from this post ‘right now’ if they still think that the Obama approach of ‘left now’ is still working...!!!
What I heard last night was promising inasmuch as the Republican candidates debating seemed to identify most, if not many, of the present political and societal ills plaguing us...
No new taxes, severe spending cuts, reducing the size of our government, strengthening our military, revising our tax codes, eliminating unnecessary and counterproductive government regulations, re-balancing our three branches of government, letting free markets decide our future growth, and the value of PROVEN LEADERSHIP AT THE HELM...
These are SOME of the ideas discussed and offered...THE PROBLEM...???
Finding ONE PERSON who embodies all of the ideas needed to pull our Country out of the dregs of recession and stagnancy and extreme debt...IMPOSSIBLE...???
EMPHATICALLY...NO, NO, NO...!!!
Nothing is impossible with God...!!! If we keep God at the center of our lives and our Country He will lead us to the RIGHT CANDIDATE...
A PRO LIFE mentality and a restoration of FAMILY VALUES are two of the areas which I omitted from my litany of ideas discussed last night...
Fresh from a weekend SPIRITUAL RETREAT, I am still motivated to ‘STORM THE THRONE’ with prayers for our future, and I encourage my readers to join with me...!!!
Heavenly Father, protect our nation as we seek to improve our political and economic system. Help us to focus on YOU, YOUR GOODNESS AND GENEROSITY, and seek YOUR WISDOM in these matters. Show us the RIGHT WAY and give us the COURAGE we need to make tough decisions...We pray in Jesus’ NAME...!!!
Have a great weekend...!!!

Fran, I really believe our Lord has let us come down the path we are on with hopes that we will return to Him. If we as a nation turn to him I believe he will once again help us with our leadership.
The Republican debates I agree Fran are a honing process. Hopefully the best candidate will emerge.
I am more confused than ever. Ijust have to keep watching and reading.
AMEN! Fran, Can you imagine the power if we all began “Tebowing.” If everyone got on their knees an asked for Our Lord to take over? Thy will not My will? It is what I am asking for this Christmas.
God Bless!
I'm on the other side Fran...I'm a 'liberal', read your post and didn't bow out...The country is a mess, our Congress is absolutely useless no matter your political leanings...I don't know the answer but I know that the folks in charge from the President down ARE NOT looking out for folks like us...All of them suck the benefits we pay for and lately give us nothing in return...They're out for themselves and are so disassociated from real life they simply have no clue how middle America works for a living...On that note, I always read what you have to say and comment when it seems appropriate...Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Mike: I agree, He still holds us in the palm of His Hand...!!!
Gary: The Right candidate WILL arise...!!!
Randi: Your confusion will clear up...you will know the right one...!!!
Barbara: Good Christmas list...!!!
Ernie: You sound more like a libertarian than a liberal...!!! Your observations are accurate...We must take back 'WE THE PEOPLE'...AND We shall...!!!
Thanks, Fran
Ernie has it right, in the end, we all will pay, regardless of party affiliation. The winners are the same each election, the special interests of the candidates that put them there.
Dale,
I guess I'm Old Fashioned...I still believe in heroes and leaders who arise from time to time to bring us out of the malaise we're in. I think the US is still a great Country and I want that for my children and posterity...!!!
Pride in Country is not the same as the SIN of pride.
God Bless America...!!!
Thanks, Fran
Fran, as a democrat (that can't vote for Obama ), at first I didn't like any of the republicans, seem same ole same to me recycling all the has beens, then Herman can along and gave me hope but at the same time got me to looking or at least hearing the others. Now I like all of them, good points are aplenty. I wish I could choose two and hopefully the winner will choose one of the others as his running mate.
I am so disappointed with Obama I am ashamed to be a lifelong Democrat in fact I may go Independent but after 50 years I just have a hard time changing but after the promise of the last change from a Democrat I may change anyway.
Charles,
I've seen a few Presidents, starting with Truman...!!! I'll tell you THE most admirable quality to look for in a President...HUMILITY...not meeky mosey, but genuine HUMILITY...NON EGOTISTICAL and RESPECTING TRUTH...!!!
I respect your honesty and courage...!!!
Thanks, Fran
In my opinion Ron Paul is the best of the bunch. Which means he will inot win as my opinion usually is contrary to the masses
Charlie,
Ideologically, I agree with much of Ron Paul, but He is too radical a reformer and unelectable, I believe...!!!
Watch out for Jeb Bush...If he gets in the race He'll knock Obama's socks off...!!!
Thanks, Fran
