Christian Real Estate Professionals : Some of God's Greatest Gifts are the Unanswered Prayers

Some of God's Greatest Gifts are the Unanswered Prayers

I just finished watching a great Lifetime movie called Unanswered Prayers. The storyline was typical but the ending was powerful. I can't help but to walk away and agree that Some of God's greatest gifts are the Unanswered Prayers. How great are thee!

In this movie, a story about marriage, family and second love chances - the man, Ben Beck played by good-looking Eric Close had his high-school sweetheart standing in front of him, 20 years later. She left him, left the town and he prayed for her to come back. She didn't and life for him eventually went on. He's happily married, with a teenage son. The story goes where they became too close and his wife found out. As every good lifetime movie, it always end on a positive note. The wife forgives him. Moving on was the best thing in his life and he didn't know until she showed up again.

So, he said, Some of God's greatest gifts are the Unanswered Prayers.

How true that is!!!

In our lifetime, our wishes and desires can get self-centered and sometimes they really don't fit the big picture. If only we would dare to let go, and let God. If we only knew how He protects us with unanswered prayers.

So,will you begin to let go and let GOD? Some great thoughts to ponder on this Sunday just for Him. Look back at your life, aren't you glad sometimes God didn't answer the prayers we asked for?

I begin my week here on Active Rain with my God First posts, written every Sunday once a week. My promise to you is that the messages I share will be day-to-day related, often times related to real estate. If these topics are important to you also, I'd love for you to subscribe to my blog.

Loreena,

All prayers are answered. Sometimes the answer is "no" or "not yet." :)

Loreena - it's so easy to forget that God has a plan that's so much better than we could imagine and we try and control things as if we really have any say. Like you said, "let go, let God" - that's been my mantra for a long, long time - sometimes...................... I just forget once in a while! Thanks for another inspirational and uplifting post! Love stopping by on Sundays and seeing what you have in store for us!

Loreena,  I did just subscribe to your blog.  I read a book yesterday that helped me to regain my close connection with God.  We are not alone - ever!

I read a little blurb about why God didn't answer a prayer in school and God replies you asked me to leave.  Great post on a Sunday, it's a good life.

Hi Loreena. Steve is absolutely right in comment # 1. God will say Yes, No, or Wait.

Hi Loreena,
Thanks for sharing.
As the saying goes, be careful what you ask for!
Sometimes I prayed for things and several years after I came to the realization that not getting my prayers answered was real perfect answer.
We need to let go and wait on God, the master of all things!

God's timing is always better than ours. He answer prayers on His timing not on ours. We have to learn to let Him take over.
