Oprah Winfrey's last episode of her Oprah Winfrey Show spoke so deeply to me as I watched it on DVR recently. So many things Oprah said rings true in my life and my commitment as a fellow human-being.

Oh well. Nevertheless, the message for those who saw it was still good.
So many things Oprah mentioned in her video are true in my life as I believe this season of my life, I'm answering my calling to be a Frisco TX realtor(R). Back in October 2006 somewhere in the villages of Kenya, God told me this one simple statement, Your mission field is in Frisco TX. And there I was, since that very day, I took on my daily cross to serve people in and around Frisco TX.
My platform is REAL ESTATE. But my higher calling is more than just a Realtor(R).
My role is just to love one another. Real estate is just how people connect to me. Just as God has pointed out to me in 1 Corinthians 3:6, I planted, Apollos watered but God will make it grow.
It was through my life purpose that I found FAITH. Back in 2004, when I was at the lowest point of my life, I picked up a book, The Purpose-Driven Life by Rick Warren. That book brought a new awareness to me. Since then, my life had a much more meaningful purpose beyond just me and myself.
Today, I'm a better Realtor(R) for my clients because of my beliefs and my life's purpose.
Until He calls me somewhere else, I'm to bloom where I'm planted.

How Oprah Winfrey's last episode spoke so deeply to me
Loreena, I felt the same way watching that episode. It was definitely an "Ha Ha" moment for me too. Maybe not on a Christian level but as a human being level. It was a powerful message she sent to America.
Real Estate is my mission, too, especially working with first-time homebuyers, Spanish-speaking buyers, and older buyers! I love what I do, and feel very blessed to be able to do what I love!
And Oprah - well, she's just the best. A wiser women I don't know - that she's willing to share her journey with others - mistakes and all - says it all!
I never followed Oprah in her shows simply because it was during work hours. But I'm glad I caught the last - which could very well summed up ALL her 25-years of tapings for me.
I am so happy you are in your SPOT Loreena. Some of us search for that for a lifetime and never find it.
Loreena-I too watched the last three of her shows and I too had that same feeling. It profoundly affected me. Be blessed.

Ok, I am a Rick Warren fan, loved his book about finding meaning in life. We do have more of a life than being a Realtor, its just a job, people are what matters. Keep up the good work.

Hi Loreena, I also enjoyed Oprah's last episode as well, I thought it was very personal and humble. She is great teacher in inspiring us and communicate/relate those lessons to us in a way that maybe no other tv person can.

Loreena, so heartfelt coming from you...I too feel that I am finally doing what I was meant to do(although if I won the lottery tomorrow I would do far more charitable foundations)...my friends think i'm a little too focused but I love the business and the struggles, rewards & mostly happiness it brings to others!! thanks for sharing

One of my favorite Oprah quotes..."God can dream a bigger dream for you than you ever can for yourself!" And God most certainly has big dreams in store for you Loreena. And a reminder of how true Oprah's words are when she says "You are being called and your job is to get on about the business of answering that calling and stepping into that life." Her last show was great and lots of great encouragement. I don't watch her show much but I have to say that I am very impressed with the last episode.
