I'm excited to announce that I am taking on a new role and change in the Real Estate Industry!
Over the past few years in my role as Community Manager for ActiveRain, I've learned so much and grown in so many ways. During this time my role has included helping many thousands of people and that work has been immensely rewarding and exciting. However, I am now moving to a new place with my career.
To all my friends at ActiveRain, a big "Thank You" for all your love, support and friendships over the past few years. I also want to thank the staff and my good friends here inside ActiveRain for all their hard work, and for the passion that they sweat into this network each and everyday. It's been a wonderful learning experience. Getting to witness the growth and changes on AR has been an honor and privilege.
I feel blessed to have so many great friends and such a truly authentic extended family here.
I look forward to telling you all about this new challenge that I have accepted in the days ahead. I'd spill the beans right now, but I have to head out the door... I'm running off to get married in a couple weeks. Then ActiveBrad's spending his honeymoon in some untold locations. I am not leaving the AR network or all of my friends and family here, I'm just merging onto a different road up ahead and creating a new and exciting path.
So wish me luck, I'm looking forward to YOUR future as I plan to still be part of it. :-)

I've been pondering my response to this post for a couple of days (I'm sure you saw that I've stopped by on MyBlogLog) but, just seem to have a bit of writer's block where the topic of YOU leaving AR is concerned. You have been such an inspiration to me for several years now. Your undying enthusiasm, unwavering passion for our business and your generosity as a friend, both in and out of the Rain, have been appreciated more than you'll ever know.
Reading your post, I know you're happy and believe me, I'm incredibly happy for you too but, I am selfishly going to miss you here. You have taught us SO much and your patience with the multitude of emails that you've answered (just from me alone!) have me wondering who will ever have the bandwidth to fill that void here.
I never quite understood how you managed the massive amount of emails that I know you received AND produced such informative posts AND managed the newsletter AND featured posts AND all of the phone calls from us whenever ANYTHING went wrong with ActiveRain--forget about those who entered contests, demanding immediate point gratification! (Hopefully I never sent you one of those emails! LOL)
You certainly could not have had the time that, knowing you, was most important for you to have--time with your wonderful family. Debra is very lucky to be renewing vows with you (and, yes, she is lucky to have you too--despite what you say, she IS)! I'm a hopeless romantic so, besides witnessing Bob & Christa's wonderful relationship unfolding here and then being able to see it person in Dallas, I left there with one of THE most romantic stories--from YOU. Your eyes were just gleaming when you were telling your Valentine's Day story--the way you spoke about Debra was so refreshing and oh, so heart-warming! You're both very fortunate to have each other and congratulations on your vow renewal and your 'secret' second honeymoon.
In closing, I do hope that you'll keep in touch and let us know what path you'll be taking following your honeymoon. We all love you and will miss you here but, wish you only the best--because that's what you deserve. You've paid it forward enough for 1,000 people so, I'm SURE it's going to be an exciting, rewarding position!

Thank you so much for acknowledging my efforts here and don't worry, I will still be around, just not in the same capacity that you were used to.
I am leaving on Tuesday to wrap up all the details, then the word will most likely slip out. I can't wait to get started and share with everyone what I'll be doing. It's going to be fun, exciting, and some really good times ahead!!

Brad- Oh my gosh! I am so glad I read through the comments until I saw Missy's. I was just speaking to you a couple of weeks ago and you saying you are getting married took me by surprise since I knew you are already married to a wonderful spectacular woman who you are very much in love with. Thanks for clarifying! Thank you for sharing on AR and being my friend. We go way back to the title company days and finding your brother, remember? You probably don't remember, we met at one of the very first RainCamps in Portland (before you cut off your pony tail). And at one of the RainCamp which was held in Bellingham more recently. We have also emailed back and forth a few times over the past two few years but I know there are 10's of thousands of us that you have touched.
So, your leaving to? Sounds like it is a happy occasion and I wish you the best.
You expressed your thanks for the AR community and I want you to know that your contribution was also greatly appreciated as well. I have subscribed to your blog for a long time and find your insight valuable and have enjoyed our limited encounters. I will keep watching to see where you are headding.
