Facebook recently had its sixth birthday. During the same week, they announced that they had crossed the 400 million member mark (how's that for a bit of alliteration?). Facebook has morphed from a college photo sharing site in 2004 to a mega-networking platform with multimedia capabilities. Basically, it's THE place to be these days.
If you aren't yet
sure how to use Facebook for business, I might have a nice solution for you next week.
On St. Patrick's Day, March 17th at 2pm Eastern time, 210 Consulting is hosting a Facebook workshop with our good friend Mike Mueller. Mike will be teaching us how to create custom Facebook business pages. Mike has created roughly 200 custom pages for his clients, and we are honored that he agreed to teach this for us.
Included among the topics next week:
- How to build a Facebook page
- How to fully customize your FB page once you have it built
- Creating and adding custom tabs
- The differences between the page categories and which information is displayed with each
The session will last 90 minutes, give or take. We wanted to make this phenomenal instruction affordable for our clients and friends, so we are only charging $49. I promise that you will get more value than you pay for this session.
Seating is limited, so be sure to go ahead and register now if you're interested. Visit http://budurl.com/fbworkshop to save your spot. I'm sincerely not sure when or if this will be offered again online. Mike has taught these techniques in person to individuals around the country, but not online in this way before. He graciously agreed to do this for us since he is our friend. This is (for now at least) an exclusive offer from 210 Consulting only.
If you have any questions at all, let me know.

I'm sending Suzanne over to check this out. She reported back that your webinar today was exceptional. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Jason, I'm bookmarking and will come back to see if I will be able to attend! Great opportunity to learn more abot FB!
thank you. will try to attend the webinar.
Hi, Jason, it was kind of you to call today. I can't make this one...but will try to make the next one. Great presentation today. I really enjoy your presentations and Mike's, too. I have sat in on a few of his in the past. I can't say enough great stuff about the material. And, agents really should try to attend. Thanks again for your expertise today as always.
I already read Jeremy's post on this. I guess I'm the only one who's stunned that people will pay to learn more about Facebook. Seriously. I'm really dumbfounded :o/ Oh well. I just play with mine anyway, and I have a group for our Worship team, but I haven't started promoting it yet. I'll do that when the time is right. But I haven't found it difficult to figure out. I even have 2 accounts, and each one is setup differently.
This should be a must see event with MIke!
I listened to Mike at RE Bar Camp San Diego so since sounds like a winner if he gets into the ctual detail of how to do this. Will see if I can work this into my schedule.
Jeff
WIll plan to attend - always seem to learn something new with Facebook.
Good morning Jason,
Sounds like a informative event..I understand Mike does a great job with his techniques of utilizing Facebook. Thanks for making this all available!
Great webnar yesterday. Reassured me that I 'm on the right path. Was good to hear you say your blogs were so bad in the beginning. Gives me hope. Thanks!
Sounds like a great opportunity Jason, on an important topic for sure. Thanks for making it happen.
I attended and it was very informative....thanks !
Lisa- The stuff that we are talking about are custom Facebook Page Tabs. This is something that hardly anyone understands. To do it, you need to have a great knowledge of FBML. The end results are awesome pages like our new Facebook page for 210 Consulting. Even just the simple task of inserting a video is complex because FBML does not allow standard coding.
This workshop is going to be an amazing event where people who want to learn this stuff can come and learn from one of the best in the world.
thanks for the information - I will try to check this out!
I was lucky enough to finally meet Mike yesterday at REBar Camp in Seattle and I have to say, what a great down to Earth guy and a great presenter. Certainly learned a few things from him about social media with things like facebook and twitter.
