Elizabeth Lane Elementary School is located in the South Charlotte suburb of Matthews NC, just off of Hwy. 51 (near Providence High School). The top-ranked Charlotte NC elementary school opened its doors in 1996 and is unique in design, featuring an enclosed courtyard and large, modern classrooms. Over 900 students, representing over 30 different nationalities, attend Charlotte's premier Elizabeth Lane Elementary School. The highly qualified administrative staff leads quality teachers and specialists, along with support staff, creating a well-orchestrated educational team for all 900+ students.
An exceptional, high-tech media center is available for research and instruction. Over 180+ computers can be found in the classrooms and the computer lab, supporting technology integration into the K-5 curriculum.
Elizabeth Lane Elementary School proudly boast a statewide reputation for excellence by consistently reaching and exceeding the school's academic goals. Elizabeth Lane was recently named an Honor School of Excellence for academic success, also meeting goals established by No Child Left Behind.
Elizabeth Lane is fortunate to have many parent and community volunteers who volunteer, offering incredible support to the school's staff and students. The support through parent involvement is reflected in continued school-wide academic success.
