Christian Real Estate Professionals : Monday Weekend Wrap Up...Mother Nature Strikes Amity...!!!

Monday Weekend Wrap Up...Mother Nature Strikes Amity...!!!

Most of my neighbors in Amity Township spent the weekend cleaning up the damage caused by an intense storm which swept through our area on Friday evening around the dinner hour...

According to the weather 'experts' no tornado was seen to touch down by local radar...

Except Amity is literally within a valley surrounded on all sides by substantial hills...in fact, I'm always kidding my children by saying we live in a former volcano or a large meteorite-caused crater... and lest I'm mistaken, radar, is only able to detect line of sight occurrences, and the damage to our area was focused mainly on low lying areas, particularly those in heavily clustered treed areas and densely wooded areas along creeks and gullies...

Hence the term 'flying under the radar' typically applies to this one hour duration, mile and a half wide, catastrophic storm...

Our home suffered a screen panel torn off our french doors and two major limbs brought down on two trees...even though our Star Spangled Banner continued to wave atop its twenty foot mast, unmolested by the ravages of Mother Nature, attesting further that we live in the home of the brave...

Only by the Grace of God were lives spared and damage to residences kept to an unbelievable minimum...

In any case, tornado or no, Amity residences are counting our blessings, and thanking God that the powerful winds and bigger than golf-ball sized hail didn't damage our most precious possessions...our family members...!!!

In just a few days, no one but us will know that anything unusual and so devastating occurred in our resilient and lovely neighborhood...!!!

Amity lives...!!!

That's an ugly site there. Instantly makes us realize how dependant we are on soooooo many man-made things. Go Phils.

Gosh, weather everywhere is very 'interesting' this year. I have 2 sisters in FL and I keep having the feeling that this could be a bad hurricane season, but I hope I'm wrong. Glad you and your family are all safe and sound.

Fran, glad you are OK, we had storms last week, many folks without power in our county and limbs down everywhere. I sat here and watched my apple trees bend over. I thought about storms in our life and how the apple trees just bended with the wind.

Like our lives if we have plenty of strength and pulp we can withstand the storms that will  come into our lives.

Fran I am so happy to hear all are safe and sound.

Crazy weather is something that can be awe inspiring and scary. The power of Mother Nature is amazing. But like you I am thankful for the Power of God to overcome!

Hang tough and stay safe!!

Blessing abound!!

Fran - We have monsoons here in AZ, where high winds often tear roofs off of buildings, and tear down trees and power lines.  It is a scary thing, and good to hear you survived with limited damage.

Troy: We're not used to these kind of storms...!!!
