Never Judge A Book By Its Cover

How many times did your Mama tell you Not to Judge a Book by its cover? Well, this clip taught alot of people just that.

What this clip means to me:

Give people a chance before I mark them off my books. I think this is such an important lesson. I definitely hope that people are not going to judge me by my looks.

Like I had mentioned to Broker Bryant yesterday: When clients meet me for the first time (especially those older than me) would think I may be around 25-28 years old. But I'm really not. So, naturally they would just imagine how much real estate experience I would have even though I have an extensive knowledge about my market.

On the other hand, if I met an older lady or gentleman whose hair is gray, even if this was his/ her first month in real estate, you would just think that he/ she has been in the business for a long time.

These are just the "first impressions" that we give everyone we encounter. Once you start talking, then your knowledge would really start to unfold. There is nothing I could do if people were to just pass judgment on me if they saw my photo or never spoke to me. But just like Susan Boyle, when she starts singing, she received the standing ovation. I hope I get that from my clients too.
