I used to be a free market free thinking conservative, believing that our free enterprise system and free 
markets control just about everything...!!!
But we are deep in the middle of an age where many individuals have become 'control freaks', and free markets and a level marketplace may be a thing of the past!
And we all know 'control freakism' is rooted in fear...and we also know where fear comes from...!!!
Some think that 'government' has the answer to all of society's ills, some think that all we need are 'new laws' to regulate commerce and bring back prosperity to our land, some think that the media and the educational elite progressives hold the answers, while others, like myself are so freaking confused by the 
chaos around us that we find ourselves 'praying like crazy'...
Ultimately, my faith tells me that a loving God still holds us in the palm of His hand...
Yet, I am perturbed by the fact that we seem to have turned over the keys to the solutions to most of our problems to our younger generation...kids who have been denied a proper and meaningful education partly due to the restrictions and conditions that society and the educational system has placed on them...
So now we have a large part of our populace who don't know a state from a country, can't add without a computer or calculator, don't know how to change a tire without calling AAA, and have surrendered an invaluable 'work ethic' inherited from their parents and grandparents in exchange for developing an expertise in video games and text messaging...
Do I sound like a cynic...???
Perhaps so, but I haven't given up on our children...they are our only hope...even though my rhetoric sounds depressing and defeatist...
No...a God who has provern to be loyal, dependable, and a worker of miracles will never let us down...
If he can raise a PHOENIX from the ashes...He can surely deal with a few thousand politicians, media types and egotistical elites who are hell bent on turning their backs on Him...
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord, humble ourselves, and pray...and leave the analysis to the pundits and media 'experts'...!!!
