You may agree with me that the recent Massachusetts special election to fill the US Senate seat of the late Edward (Ted) Kennedy has also been a referendum on the above
topic...Health-care...
And whether it should be 'government' run or remain in the 'private enterprise' arena...
I, for one, am glad it will remain private...at least for the time being...
The people of the US, for whatever reason, do not trust government...I happen to agree with that populist assessment...
Our ailing, aging relatives stand a better chance of staying alive if there is competition
among health-care insurance providers than if some government bureau was to make that determination...And I don't want to even go near THAT 'slippery slope'...
So, listen up politicians, Republican, Democrat, Independent, Socialist or whatever...
The people have spoken and continue to speak...We want bipartisanship and no 'back room deals'...
We have a health-care system that needs to be TWEAKED...not OVERHAULED...!!!
