What do cows and title insurance in Pennsylvania have in common...???
This is not just one of those catchy titles to lure you in...This is a serious post...Stay here to get the rest of the story...!!!
My Son in law, Gil, Chief Operations Manager of Patriot Land Transfer, Inc., repeatedly reminds me how underpaid we are for our services, and how long it has been since we got a raise...
You see, title insurance rates in Pennsylvania are regulated by the Pennsylvania State Insurance Commission...
And the last rate increase was in 2002...
In fact, rates didn't necessarily increase at that time, they were re-structured in such a way as to allow discounts for various levels of service provided taking into consideration the frequency of insurance reissuance...in short, some rates went up, and some rates went down...
Or, if you like my short but sweet explanation to Gil...HANG IN THERE...
I always follow up with a counter question which he has finally answered...
THE QUESTION...What besides Title Insurance in Pennsylvania has gone down in price or held its own without an increase since 2002...???
THE ANSWER...MILK...!!! Hence the COW reference in the title to this post...!!!
You see, bottom line, THE COW and THE TITLE COMPANY both have work product that is valuable and a good buy...!!!
