Use of Social Media to Hire Real Estate Professionals
33% of job recruiters are using social media profiles for hiring job candidates these days. Among the top sites which they use to investigate their potential employees are LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. According to Vault.com, these sites were used in the following proportions by these recruiters:
LinkedIn - 74%
Facebook - 11%
Twitter - 3%
7% of those recruiters who use social media as a recruitment tool have said that they have hired based upon the information that they glean from these sites.
Google and Facebook are even used before many first dates as well as before doing business with particular vendors. If you remember the years that NAR stats showed fewer than 50% of homebuyers used the internet to locate their home, you'll realize that this 33% stat will soon be much higher. Remember: Keep it clean out there! It won't be long until real estate professionals will more likely than not, be hired as a direct result of our online presence and behavior on social media sites.
