Minding Your Own Business...A Snow Job...???

I remember the good nuns teaching us that the 11th Commandment (and you thought there were only 10) was 'Mind Your Own Business'...

Is it always good advice to do so...???

Not always...!!!

Have you ever been guilty of 'NOT ACTING'...when you should have acted...?

Scripture tells us, 'You shall not stand by idly, when your neighbors life is at stake'...BUT...

How often do we see injustice or unethical or illegal or immoral activities taking place and respond with...'It's not my problem'...

Yes, sometimes we can incur guilt for what we 'don't do'...in religion, it is referred to as a 'sin of omission'...in our secular world it is referred to as 'negligence'...

Now, none of us are perfect...we all need forgiveness...we all, at some time or another, are guilty of acting wrongly or not acting when we should have...

This season of Lent should not just be a time for Catholics and other Christians to prepare for the Easter Mysteries...The suffering, death, and Resurrection of Jesus...

It is a time for all people of every nation, faith, and tongue to change our ways and act in accordance with commonly recognized behavior we refer to as 'NATURAL LAW'...

It is not only Christians who need to repent, turn from unrighteous ways...

In fact, anyone who doesn't see the need for repentance, is by definition 'PERFECT'...and by that very assertion renders himself guilty...!!!

No, a righteous and merciful God doesn't condemn anyone to HELL, they choose it for themselves...!!!

As an aside...I am writing this post from my home, snowed in, and contemplating the March winds...!!!
