"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..."
The first half of the weekend was replete with sporting event cancellations, reschedulings, postponements, torrential downpours, and foul weather activities such as fine tuning of garage cleaning, i.e. workbench reorganization, garage sink scouring, replacing of tools in their proper nesting places for quick future access, etc...
The second half of the weekend saw beautiful bright blue skies, an afternoon softball game, fallball game, an Eagles opening day victory, sandwiched between two classic Phillies wins over the Mets...
My youngest son, Jared, combined with two other teammates to pitch a no hitter in which he doubled, closed, stole 5 bases including home twice, while his sister, Emily, drove home the only run in a crosstown softball game...!!!
All in all, a productive and enjoyable weekend...
