Why do we standby idly and watch while our government decides for itself that it knows better how to 
manage life than people do...???
I thought WE the people ran the government...!!!
Now, I'm talking about what it means when we hear "That government governs best, which governs least"...
I forget who said that, but it is true...!
And aren't we supposed to be a government OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, and FOR THE PEOPLE...We've become a government OF the government, BY the government, and FOR the government.......at the expense of the people...
PUBLIC SERVANTS...BALONEY...!!!
Don't we wait until our children prove that they can be trusted before we empower them with responsibilities usually performed by mature and sensible adults?
So why is it that we're willing to watch the government take over banking, automobile manufacture, health care, education, and budget management when:
***The government and their lack of oversight and responsible regulation caused the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac debacle which singlehandedly may have precipitated the entire recession...
***Green cars don't sell...why should the the government tell us what to drive...isn't it still a free country...I wonder...!!! And why should a Union own an interest in GM instead of the employees themselves...there is a difference, you know...! The Government can't budget itself to be profitable, how do they expect GM to earn a profit...???
***Where in the world has socialized health care worked...If there is so much wrong with our system, why is it that whenever a foreign dignitary needs serious medical treatment, they opt to come here to the U.S....???
***In a country that spends so much on education, why do the average high school graduates only comprehend 8th grade reading...and why can't they reason or count...and why don't they know a state from a country...???
***Our government keeps enacting new laws, while at the same time failing to enforce and prosecute existing ones...like illegal 
immigration laws...drug dealing, smuggling, investigating crooked politicians, all go on without government control or effect or investigation...this is what government ought to be about doing...!!!
Now let me get this straight, we are being asked to give the government MORE powers in all these areas, when they've proven themselves incompetent and irresponsible in handling the matters already entrusted to them...
WHY...???
