Often, it seems as though we Americans quickly forget the important things that come our way, and long 
remember silly, or seemingly unimportant events...
Not so with 911 however.
Some have said that the events of that day, September 11, 2001, which caused the untimely deaths of over 3,000 innocent people of all faiths, cultures, and nationalities, were a payback from God for the wayward way Americans lead their lives...
You can believe whatever you wish, but my gut tells me that Americans in general, and their behaviour, are held to a much higher standard than the rest of the world, both by Americans themselves and those non-Americans who are familiar with us...
I will not argue whether or not we are a Christian Nation, that is for God Himself to decide, but it is certainly my opinion that Americans are held to Christian standards, The Ten Commandments, The teachings of Jesus, and The Natural Law...
At least that is what over one billion Catholics worldwide are supposed to believe...
You see, according to The Church, men and women everywhere are ‘judged' by these standards...
Now, count the atrocities which have occurred worldwide, by those of other nations, faiths, persuasions, and ilk...and compare them with the behaviour of our country...
Even the actions of our current president, who seems to act in total opposite to the way my church proposes, pale in comparison with the many abominable acts committed by countries in Central and South America, Africa, Asia, and even Europe...
God's light shines upon our great nation, as evidenced by the vast number of ‘natural' resources he has showered upon us, and when reflected by the amount of aid and comfort we have administered worldwide under the red, white, and blue of Old Glory...
When Old Glory is burned, mutilated, frowned upon, disrespected, dishonored and the like, it serves as a testament to those who act in accordance for WHAT IT 
STANDS...and against those who are ignorant of American Values...
Yes, be sure and remember 911 this weekend, and never forget the God who ‘allowed it to happen'...
Out of every disaster God brings Good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose...!!!
