Many of us who blog are considered real estate professionals...we earn this status by our accreditation(s), knowledge, experience, and reputation...!!!
We must not lose sight of the fact that, as professionals, our first responsibilities are to those with whom we have a fiduciary relationship...our clients...!!!
That fiduciary responsibility carries with it the goal of making each real estate transaction a smooth and painless one to the best of our abilities...!!!
At a typical closing in our area, most brokers and lawyers and closers are usually present at final closing...this does not occur in every State or in every region within a State...BUT...
Again, in our area, real estate professionals who are in attendance ought to work as a team to assure that the terms of the agreement of sale have been met and all monies have been disbursed in accordance with that agreement of sale and conform to the Lender's instructions...!!!
A real estate closing is not a court of law, there shouldn't necessarily be adversarial relationships between buyer and seller...although they certainly can develop...
I look at a satisfactory real estate closing as a piece of whole cloth, perhaps a patchwork quilt would be a more apt analogy, where all the parts must fit together as seemlessly as possible with no runs, tears, or unravelling...!!!
After we serve the needs of our clients as real estate professionals we are free to engage in blogging, networking, and friendships...!!!
