Inspirational Post: Are You Prepared For Your Coming Rain ?

Sometimes, a pro-longed week of bad weather can affect my emotions. Here in Frisco Texas, we haven't really been outdoors enjoying the beautiful Spring and instead, we've been couped up looking out at my dreary wet window. I cant help but to think about this inspiring story that has helped build me up so many times over. As a Half Full person rather than Half Empty, I want to share this story with you on this very wet Frisco Texas wet weather day.

Prepare For Your Rain To Come:

There are 2 farmers who prayed for rain.

The 1st farmer just prayed for rain, while the 2nd farmer prayed just as hard for rain but in the mean time, he went out to cultivate his fields to prepare for the rain to come.

When the rain came, did you know who jumped in joy and celebrated as his little sprouts began to grow?

This story made a huge impact on me during my early real estate years when the pipeline wasn't as full and when every prospect mattered (they still do). I called it my "Drought" season. However, believing in my ability to succeed and knowing that I have the favor of the Most High, I know that I am on to something great.

True enough, I continued to cultivate my real estate field while anticipating for the Rain to come. I blogged, I worked on my website and learnt about how to drive Internet traffic to my site, I learnt to do many things that I am never comfortable doing. I guess you can say, I really learnt to step out of my comfort zone to prepare my heart for the day to come.

Fast forward 2 years later, my Rain is pouring in because it took me 2 years to cultivate in my "drought" season. I stayed under the radar, I kept my expenses low and I used my limited resources (time and money) very wisely.

The biggest thing that kept repeating in my heart was God's knocking on my heart, telling me that "Loreena, I can open doors no one can shut".

God will say that to you too. If you listen in the still and quiet moment.

I hope that you, too could use the story of these two farmers to help motivate you to cultivate your fields in anticipation for the 'Rain to come.
