Well, after a couple of feet of snow were dumped on us with high winds and single digit wind chill temps to go along...we have lost 2 days of work and school, and we are now marveling at the beautiful sculptures 
that the storm has crafted out of nothing but snow and wind...!!!
Nevertheless, it is a beautiful sight, but it carries with it an element of fear and caution...We must always have a respect for the natural elements of snow and rain, and must never underestimate the damage that those elements can wreak...
When major highways, interstates, and heavily travelled arteries must close for safety's sake, you know that man has little control over such things...
Hospitals, emergency centers, municipalities, road crews, and various other essential businesses continue to try to maintain 'business as usual' by hunkering down and keeping key personnel on site...
Now that the blizzard has passed and we begin the dig-out and return to normality, let us not forget those people who sacrificed time away from their own families so that others could be cared for...
My own son, Jason, is employed by a center city Philadelphia hotel, and was one who, without complaint, remained at his workplace for a couple of days while his wife and almost 2 year old daughter struggled to stay ahead of the storm and its portents by themselves...!!!
Let this post be a grateful testimony to thank all those in similar situations...!!!
