Coming off just another fantastic weather weekend in Southeastern Pennsylvania, it is difficult to focus on getting our acts together with regard to our work and priorities...
But...if we have our acts together, we know how to confront this weekly occurring situation...that is...
By now, we have trained our bodies and minds, and conditioned them to respond to Monday morning stimuli...
What I mean...is that coming off a Sunday in which we have fed our spirits and nourished our souls, as well as rested our bodies Sabbath style, we should be ready in all ways to tackle the challenges of the new week...
On the other hand, if we have ignored the prompting of the Sunday angels who have called us to gather in worship of our Creator and God, perhaps we begin our Monday somewhat drained and without purpose... In which case, we need to step back, recollect ourselves, and ask, 'where are we'...
The answer to that question comes in the form of 'WHO' rather than 'WHERE'...
Isn't that the way our God looks at us...not how successful we are, nor how effective we have been at work, nor even 'what we do', nor where we stand in relation to Him spiritually...BUT...
As His sons and daughters, created in His image to be like Him, to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him, and to be happy with Him...
Yes, that is our real mission...
And until we see things in that framework or perspective, we are rather 'losing our way', floundering, if you will, through life...purposeless and with little or no meaning...
If you find yourself in this situation, STOP, take a few minutes, quiet yourself, and reach out, cry out if you must, to the Lord...UNTIL...
Long last, you can truly taste and see the goodness of the Lord...NOW...
As faithful and faith filled sons and daughters of the Creator...we now have purpose, direction, and fulfillment with Him and through Him...
Now, go forth and tackle the week...in joy and thanksgiving...!!!
