Though I do find Missouri's motto catchy: "Let the welfare of the people be the supreme law"...I'm not 
sure I believe that Missourians all have to be shown before they believe...
After all, that is a subject for bumper stickers and license plate holders, isn't it..."Missouri...The Show Me State"...
But just for one day I would like to play the role of that dubious Missourian...AND ASK...
What evidence is there that President Obama seeks to make a great Country better...and more importantly...What evidence is there that President Obama DOES NOT seek to destroy our democracy as we know it, and replace it with a socialist/marxist form of government...???
Yes, today I'm from Missouri, and need to be shown that The President of my Country, whose office I respect, is not attempting to destroy our Republic...
Of course, prudent followers of history and those who study politics and people closely, are not surprised by the agenda our one-year-in-ofice President seems to espouse...
But for the masses of Americans who voted for CHANGE...I'm not so sure this is the CHANGE they had in mind when they pulled the Obama lever on election day in 2008...Not to mention the nearly half of the electorate that didn't vote for him, but for whom he serves as president...
Didn't they, like me, think that our new President would lead us out of our deep recession, eliminate back 
room deals, bring transparency to Washington, and become the herald of an even greater era of prosperity in our already great nation...???
But apparently, to the chagrin of many, he doesn't feel we live in a great nation, he is not proud of our heritage as a peace loving, extremely generous country, and he shows no signs of having any faith in our republic or its rule of law...and he seems to despise the will of the people...
Go ahead...I dare you...prove me wrong...show me...I'm from Missouri...Just for a day...!!!
