From earthquakes and aftershocks in central Italy, only a few miles away from my ancestral heritage, to mass shootings in New York, to weird weather all over our country, to fears of recession spreading world 
wide...yet hope for a financial comeback looms greatly on the horizon...!!!

Holy Week ought to be a tunnel through which we focus on the CENTRAL MYSTERY of our Christian faith...THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS...!!! Victory over death and mortality...!!!
If we're not Christians, we can still find plenty of evidence for God's existence. Let this post challenge those who fall into this category. We're not quite sure when the first Christmas was, but we know with absolute certainty that Christ rose from the dead on Easter Sunday and that it occurred at the time of Passover...!!!
It is no coincidence, I feel, that the beginning of Spring, or the beginning of Fall in the Southern 
Hemisphere, and the Feast of Easter, occurs at precisely the time where nature is most active...First in creating beauty, then in getting elements ready to recreate it...!!!
So let us take this Holy Week opportunity to CELEBRATE...'We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For while we live we are always being given up to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh...' 2 Corinthians 4:8-11 RSV
