It has dawned on me that we are no longer a nation united under one goal or one set of standards...!!!
Remember, our government, although begun by revolution from English rule, still carried with it, as subscribed by the early founding fathers, a moral code based on the Ten Commandments and Judeo/Christian principles...
That is until about pre World War II, when history will show that those traditional values were beginning to come under attack...
Traditional values as characterized by such notions as indissolubility of marriage, procreation of children, placing other family members welfare ahead of our own, family worship of God, and a fair days work for a fair days pay were slowly being eroded by 'New Progressive Thinking'...
Now, if you're still not getting what I'm saying...Let me put it in plain English...Divorce, Birth Control/Abortion, Selfishness/Narcissism, Secularization of society, Entitlements, Pragmatism, etc...have created such a chasm between 'left' and 'right'...That I'm afraid we may have passed the point of no return...there may be no going back...
Should we create 'two nations' then...one for the right and one for the left...???
How would such a nation be divided...???
Is the proposition 'United we stand, divided we fall' about to be put to the test...???
It is clear, at least to me, that political reconciliation is impossible...well, let me soften that a bit in keeping with my naturally optimistic demeanor by saying IMPROBABLE at least...
You see in COMPROMISE there is usually some 'surrendering' involved...!!!
Have we come to the last battle...you know, the one between good and evil...???
I myself choose to revert back to my faith in God, who Himself is master over both good and evil...His sun shines on both the just and the unjust...
And there is precedent for my belief and reversion to God...
Check back to good non-revisionist history to find that many of our nation's early 'fathers' reverted back to and called for NATIONAL DAYS OF PRAYER...
If there is only One God, and most except atheists believe this, it appears that that is the course we must take...Bow humbly before that one, merciful, all knowing, all powerful, all loving, supreme being...And pray and wait for His grace to shine once more upon our nation and lead us in His way...!!!
And beg...if we must...for God to once more Bless America...!!!
