I have learned that if we’re not making PROGRESS in life...then we’re regressing...YOU CAN’T PLATEAU...!!!
There is a chasm of difference between a PROGRESSIVE and MAKING PROGRESS...!!!
To put it simply but perhaps crudely...Progressives prefer trial and error and micromanagement...Conservatives prefer applying tried and true methods tempered by History and Wisdom...!!!
AHA...Wisdom implies a ‘THIRD FORCE’ active here...GOD HIMSELF...who is the source of all WISDOM...!!!
You figure out the analogy...!!!
Jumping forward to the present, I see an America who has just about had its PRUNING completed...make no mistake about it...it is neither LIBERAL NOR CONSERVATIVE that has pruned us...
Oh yes, maybe a liberal here and a conservative there have lopped off a few measly branches along the way...BUT...by and large it is THE MASTER, whose kingdom we live in and are supposed to be stewards of, that PRUNES...
My kids recently asked me (they love putting hypothetical questions before me), “...given the choice, would you rather live in a DESERT or a RAIN FOREST...!!!”
Of course my answer quickly was ‘RAIN FOREST’...it should be much easier to carve a DESERT out of a RAIN FOREST than to create a RAIN FOREST out of a DESERT...
You see, most of my life in America has been spent enjoying the PLENTY AND ABUNDANCE OF THE RAIN FOREST...Now that much of the wood has been used without regard for replanting...we begin to experience ARIDITY, DRYNESS, AND EMPTINESS of a little DESERT here and there...AND...
By golly, those deserts can really spread and take over some terrain...!!!

And they weren’t speaking about umbrellas...!!!
The Master is a great pruner...He knows just what branches to remove and what branches to keep...I trust HIM...!!!
