It is Saint Patrick's Day as I write this post, but who can forget the recent events in Japan even as the 
reality begins to set in...!!!
Such a small space, JAPAN, in comparison to our entire Earth...Slightly smaller than the State of Montana, with a population of nearly one half that of the US...!!!
Nevertheless, the World's third largest economy...!!!
In just the few short days since these tragedies have occurred (I say ‘tragedies', since more than just an earthquake has struck there) I have already learned much about my ‘fellow man' and more specifically the gift to our Earth that the Japanese people have become...
As a young boy I recall the hatred that nearly every American held toward the Japanese people...World War II had just ended, and ‘PEARL HARBOR' was still being harbored in the hearts of most Americans...
In fact, the ‘BATTLE CRY' in the ‘PACIFIC THEATER' was ‘REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR'...NOW...
Really just a few short years since, Japan has become one of our dearest and closest allies...
And that, I believe, is due to the remarkable culture that the Japanese share...
Evidenced by the recent events, their resiliency, work ethic, moral fabric, character, ingenuity, and their concern for each other has stood out as a testament to all of us...NOW...
As we watch and wait for their problems to be resolved let us extend a hand of friendship to them by employing our resources, time, talent, and treasures to assist them...yes, even as we, ourselves, endure a lengthy depression...AND...
Let us not forget to keep them in our prayers and hold them in our thoughts...!!!
