I'm baaaaaaack...!!!
In less than two weeks I have gone from cancer sufferer to cancer survivor...
Lucky...???
Yes...because of a routine colonoscopy screening, I was discovered to have a malignant tumor in my colon...Fortunately, the cancerous mass was about the size of a walnut and considered as stage one...
Caught early, the cancer had not spread to any lymph nodes, and was excised 2 Mondays ago by sigmoidectomy...
While recouperating, several thoughts came to mind:
First...The Power Of Prayer.....I can’t tell you how many prayed for my benefit, but there were literally thousands, from congregations in Pennsylvania and Texas...!!!
Second...Fear Of Colonoscopy.....I know, because I was one of them, that there is a reluctance to undergo routine screenings, especially colonoscopy...Truth be known, the procedure is PAINLESS...a bit of a nuisance in its day before prep, but a simple nuisance which is easy to endure...
Third...The Amazing Body.....”thank you Lord, that I am fearfully, wonderfully made”
Just a few simple, but profound thoughts as I continue to recover, gain strength and good health, and spend some quiet time with myself and My Lord...!!!
Have a great weekend...!!!
