This Saturday, June 11, 2011, The Bishop Kenrick High School Class of 1961 will celebrate its 50th year
reunion...!!!
Of course I am a member of that graduating class and will be attending the festivities Saturday Evening...!!!
One of our distinguished classmates, Monsignor Charles Vance, Pastor of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill, will celebrate Mass for the deceased members of our class...
Following The Mass we will gather for dinner and socializing at The Crown Plaza Hotel in King Of Prussia...!!!
In 1961, I remember thinking how ‘non descript' a class we were...it seemed our only claim to fame was that our class rings read 1961 right side up or upside down...!!!
Now, when I reminisce, I see how great a class we really were...especially when I pore over the faces and lives of my fellow graduates and examine who and what they have become...We really were a class whose worth far exceeded the sum total of all its parts...!!!
And we truly owe an unpayable debt of gratitude to all our teachers and school administrators, and each of our classmates...!!!
Have a great weekend...!!!
School Prayer
Father, Help us to seek you in everything we do and in everyone we meet. Pour into our hearts: FAITH-that we may be a source of strength to others, HOPE-that we may know all things are possible, LOVE-that we may share your love with those around us. Unite us in FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE "with Christ forever". Amen
